Message from Sisters S.W.A.P. Founder

Commitment can be a scary word. It brings to mind the thought of being stuck in something long-term or maybe taking on more than we think we can handle. In reality, there are many things we commit to every day without actually calling them a commitment. Think about the commitment we make to maintain our hair and nails or our image on social media. We make negative commitments, like not pursuing our dreams or not even allowing ourselves to dream for fear that it will end in failure or disappointment. Of course, as parent's our most important commitment is to a life of loving, serving, making sacrifices, teaching, guiding, and providing for our children .

But I want to encourage you to commit to yourselves! The commitment is to remember to love, accept and believe in yourself daily, and to imagine the life you desire despite your current situation! If you're already doing that, then continue and encourage others to do the same. But if you're not, there's no better time than today to start. It may seem hard at first, but the more you speak encouragement to yourself, the easier it gets.

We’ve heard and read countless stories about people who committed to holding on to their dreams during impossible circumstances. But God! Our struggles and circumstances can make us discouraged, but I encourage you, don't lose hope! There is greatness inside of you!

Begin committing to embrace the belief that with God, nothing is impossible for you!! Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. They are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Stay encouraged about how God can change situations that seem hopeless.

It simply begins with a commitment to believe that all things will work out for your good. Commit to allowing yourself the freedom to dream big dreams and write them down; see yourself experiencing them and feeling the joy and satisfaction they will bring. Allow the hope that you have to bring you peace and joy as you allow the love of Jesus to settle in your heart. Then get ready to be amazed at the transformation that will occur, from mini to mind-blowing, as you experience God in a new way!
